Fs: 2005 STI - wicked cheap! $17,750
Since I am no longer living in the States, I guess it probably makes sense to sell my car
Single owner, non-smoker 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, world rally blue with silver wheels. It's in stock form with a couple minor exceptions; front camber bolts, EcuTek dyno-tuned ECU (14.5psi peak, 268whp, tuned by Franz D), Helix catted downpipe. The car is currently stored indoors in Providence RI, is not registered, and has a current MA inspection thru the end of April 2008; it passed a sniffer inspection with the current downpipe and tune without a problem so should pass inspection with no worries. I have the title. The car is hard-wired for a Valentine1 and has a Sirius Antenna on the rear deck (inside) that leads to the driver-side dash.
I purchased the car new in October 2004 with 7 miles on the odo from Natick Subaru. It has just over 65,280 miles on the odometer currently. I used the car as a daily driver (Cambridge to Westborough every day) until August 2006, and it resumed daily driver status in September 2007. I used it to campaign in the COM Sport Car Club time trial series in 2005 and 2006; I did under 20 track events in total, so about 35 track days. The car had a rollbar, seats and suspension upgrades on it while it was track driven, but all that stuff was removed and sold with the exception of what was listed above in the overview. It was never crashed (on the track or the street), although on my first event I did nudge the dirt berm at Lime Rock, which scratched the front and rear bumper covers a bit. Since the last track event in November 2006, I put about 7k miles on the car without any issues. It was recently (December 2007) given a leakdown and compression test at DSG, which had all cylinders within 10%, had the rear d.s. wheel bearing replaced, rear control arm replaced (the swaybar mounting bracket had broken off the original control arm), and the two rear shocks were replaced with new OEM units to replace the clunky ones that had been in there. It got me anywhere between 19-21mpg depending on how much highway driving I did, consistently over the time I've had the car. A bit less in winter with oxygenated fuel.
Overall the car is in excellent condition; it has some normal wear and tear on the outside in terms of stone chips on the front, a couple small dings, and a couple scratches. The interior is very clean with wear on the carpet underneath the gas pedal (this is common, but covered up by the floor mats). The seats have negligible noticeable wear, mostly because I put most of the miles commuting myself to work, and I had Recaros in the car for about 30k miles when it was used on the track (I left them in there during the winter/street driving). The brake rotors all around are original, but have a lot of meat left in them. The fronts have a bunch of heat-checking to them, but they are fine for the street and can probably stand up to more track time as well. The rears are in great shape.
Currently the car is shod with Hankook snow tires on stock BBS Forged 17x8 wheels; I have two Bridgestone RE070 (oem) 225/45 17s that can go with the car or two Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 235/45 17s depending on which ones you preferred; in either case you'd need to buy two more of either tire (both have about half their lives left, maybe 10k miles). I prefer the Michelins, especially in the wet, but the RE070 are great dry tires.
I've changed the oil with Mobil1 every 3000 miles or so, depending on usage, and always run 93 or better octane.
What's included besides the car:
(1) front brake rotor - under 1k miles so essentially new (had this as a spare at the track)
(2) summer tires, either the RE070s or the PS2s
(1) stock downpipe with stock catalytic convertor (in case you want to swap out the helix)
This is a pretty screaming deal; I am not paying for the car now so I don't need to sell it, but I wouldn't mind freeing up the cash so I can pick up something here in Germany that is a little nicer than my car allowance will, uh, allow.
I took these the day I dropped off the car; I apologize for the rain but God didn't cooperate with me when I was driving it down. If you want to see the car in person, let me know and I can my Dad or brother let you into the garage to see it. Please be serious about buying it if you arrange to see it as I don't want to waste their time showing the car to a tire kicker. Common courtesy, and all that
Keep in mind I am in Germany and 6 hours ahead, so if you PM or email me at night and don't get a reply right away, relax. PM or Email is the best way to get ahold of me, probably email. rcatucci at gmail dot com.

Wow, that's a great deal. You could buy it, trade it in to the dealer and probably make ~$1500.
Bump for what seems to be an honest seller and a properly used STi. G/L with the sale.
