Default Seat Belt Light in Cluster- Very Strange!

Hi All, I need help here.

Here is what is happening from last few days----

1. This is 04 WRX
2. I get in my car and put the key in. (Dont put the seat belt)
3. Then I twist the key to ACC and then to ON position.
4. As we all know Airbag light stays there for a while and then it goes.

Problem -
Seat belt indicator light (The one that reminds you that you havnt got the seat belt) Does not remain ON even if you dont put seat belt. it goes off with Airbag light.

Any idea? - I forgot to put seat belt once as I am used to look at that light.

Please help

Correct me if Im wrong but its supposed to go off with the airbag light. The only light that would stay on the whole time would be the 'door ajar' light in the case that the door is open.
