Default 96 1.8L Brighton to 2.5L? HELP.

So I decided today that I am going to swap my 1.8L to a 2.5 instead of trying to find a newer 2.5RS.....what all do i need to know/buy for this project...
Even if you just have links to other threads that would be quite a large help....if any other information is needed from me just tell me and ill get that up!

My car right now is a 1996 Subaru Impreza Brighton 1.8L with 207,500 miles! oh yeah! haha

search FIRST, then PM!!!

from my understanding just swap it over...you'll need to swap some sensors from your engine to the new engine...that and most get an SAFC as the EJ18's ecu leans out the engine in a few spots...
never done it myself, so this is all second hand.

the engines are a straight mechanical swap...basically just put in the EJ25 longblock and intake manifold.

I'm not sure how much of the electronics are different for the 96 opposed to the 93,94,95's but I pretty much just followed the instructions listed in the given link, and my 94L runs great.

There are quite a few more threads too. Search terms like "ej25 ej18 swap"

Good Luck! The 2.5 is a nice improvement.
