Default STI into RS parts list

I was wondering how much the stock tranny can handle in the gc's
also what would be a list of all the required parts do to a full swap? running stock sti ecu and all. I know you need the engine, ecu, wireing harness, intercooler and pipping. What else like misc. lil piseces and all.
Thanx for your time. I know this has propably done befor but couldn;t find a list of hand.

Youre looking at roughly 300 horse, and you had better know how to shift well.

You will need to modify the STI pedal in some way. You will also need a larger radiator and its matching fans. If the STI engine is 05 or later you need the matching immobilizer and key, plus an ignition antenna. You will need a new fuel pump. The new fuel pump and ECU also requires the fuel pump controller. You will also need to swap a gas tank sensor or have a tuner flash away the CEL for that missing sensor. Dont forget the matching exhaust, the full stock STI exhaust will fit perfectly. Make sure you get the MAF and intake box to match the engine. An ACT stage 2 clutch or greater is pretty much requried since the stock clutch would slip at full throttle. The stock STI power steering lines wont fit without some creative rework with zip ties. The power steering tank needs a custom mounting bracket made. Since you have to remove the entire dash area the AC will need a recharge once you are done.

There are probably a few more things but I can't remember at the moment.

I am just starting my '98L to STi swap. For the engine, I'll be using '04 heads and a new OEM short block. 650cc injectors (maybe), walbro with a TMIC and VF43 turbo. I'm not looking for huge power goals (250-270whp) tops. I'll keep the OEM 5spd and upgrade the brakes front and rear as well as suspension parts. I unloaded the '04 wiring harness today so I could send it to ECS so they can do the merger (no way I'm attempting that job). My budget is 15k including the cost of the '98L ($2500). I have a detailed spreadsheet of parts needed for the swap if you're interested.

Here's the project car...
