Default back up lights dont work!!!

i have looked and found out that it could be the reverse switch. but, i have no idea where it is (tranny?) or how to change it! and maybe a part number! please help

call a dealer for the part number or try to look it up on genuine subaru parts

it is mounted in the tranny, it looks like a bolt with wires coming out of it.

have you checked the fuses. iirc there is a different fuse for the reverse lights. i had the ones in my o1Rs go out once. it was a fuse.

i did check the ones in the driver side but not the ones in the engine bay. i'll try that!

also, my folding mirrors dont line up right. the driver side is not open far enough and the passanger side opens too much?? anyone has this problem?

JDM power folding?

and what doesnt line up the mirror? the housing?

The reverse light is tied to fuse 18 in the panel mounted in the dash. The fuse ties to a number of areas. The keyless entry wouldn't work if the fuse is bad.

the mirrors came with the car when i got it.
i think they are JDM b/c i tryed sitting on the pasanger side to see if i could see better and yep! i saw everything perfect i just moved the passanger mirror a little and now its good enough.

you coudl always replace the mirror glass as the convex mirror is on the wrong side for you! its not terribly difficult just BE GENTLE and heat the plastic surround slowly adn evenly if you decide to do it.
