Default jdm sti 5 spd vs. 05 5 spd

hey fellas got a question for all you tranny nuts...
I'm looking at a jdm sti 5 speed that a kid has for sale and i was wondering how does it stack up to the 2005 5 spd tranny... anyone got some words on it??

The ratios on the STi 5mt are infinitely better. Altogether stronger as well because a slight increase in width of the gear teeth at their base and a higher final drive ratio. I love mine.

Careful though, kids have a tendancy to beat on transmissions.

It is a different final drive, you would need to swap out your rear diff to 4:11

i would have to swap out rear diffs anyways for a tranny swap
