Default boost gauge install question

i bought a red racer defi boost gauge and it refuses to read the right boost, or read any vacuum. im unsure if i tapped the wrong line as i have tapped 2 different ones and i used the accessport to read my boost. everything appears to be working according to the accessport but the boost gauge never goes above 11ish and never ever has read any vacuum pressure.
any ideas?

So where exactly are you tapping for the gauge sensor? To get proper readings you need a direct manifold connection, the best place to get this is the vacuum line to the factory bypass valve.
