It's awesome, but can you remove the giant spoiler? or is that needed for cooling somehow?

Default spoiler

actually below the spolier there is the intercooler and that huge spoiler cost 1000 bucks the turbos and intercooler actually sit inside the spoiler section.

the twins were moved from the back of the motor to the front due to them banging on everything and i could not relocate the porsche tranny so i moved the turbos

Wha!? Whale Tails FTMFW. A porsche without a whale tail, just isnt right...unless its a 959 or 935

^ seconded! Every Porsche since the 80's era Turbo (913?) has been nothing but a weak approximation... (yeah, yeah, technical prowess, yadda yadda).

Default tranny and rad

the tranny is a stock g64 tranny c4 awd

the rad is from a 1995 jeep cherokee sits at the back of the car between the rails angled so it grabs air and on the back of the rad 2 elec fans push air through cooling rad car runs at 195 degrees all the time

if you look in the photo you can see a vit of the rad behind the bumper

WOW
Bring it to a Porshe or Subaru dealer when you're done and get a picture of their reactions.
Great work though

You reckon? So a 993 GT2 or RS is an "approximation" of a Porsche?

Obviously not in how fast it'll get around the Nürburgring, silly. The older turbos were just as likely to kill you as let you go fast.

I'm referring to the aesthetics -- the 80's era Porsche turbos with their ultra-wide flared fenders and outrageous whale tail spoilers look like they would maul any modern-day equivalent and pick their teeth with the remaining scraps.

I'd hazard that you'd have a better idea what I was talking about if you were an adolescent boy in the mid-80s!

that, sir, is rediculous....

...I love it.

BTW...what it DOES have going for it is 2 less cylinders. the balance will be WAY better without that extra 250 lbs in the rear end.

sjd
1967 912 with EJ18...trust me, it's plenty in a 40 year old car.

this is waht i figured the flat 6 was heavy and to be honest a motor that needed lots of care from what i read oil leaks after oil leaks etc...

so at 247 stock porsche horse power i wasnt prepared to put a nother porsche engine in intead the twin 280hp stock one but with remaoping and mods hope to be over 300hp it should be pretty quick

steve_d do you have pictures of your swap

oh by the way i added more photos to the first link
