Default Is this fixable?

Is this stain on the surface of the paint? Or is this damage to the clearcoat caused by heat? It's not soot -- I used a claybar to get some of that, then goof-off (acetone) to get the rest of it. This nice golden hue is what remains.

Perhaps. Hard to say just by lookling. But I would imagine that polishing would do it. Probably need a high speed rotary for the job.

I've got a PC7424 and some Poorboy's products I bought a while back but haven't yet tried. SSR1 and "Poorboy's Professional Polish" are the two products which are polishes. Are these strong enough to attack something like this?

That's a very good point .

No, didn't do anything. Except it's a very shiny deep golden brown now.

Try to Use a High Speed Buffer with some cutting compound wax. Then Go over it with a Wax of your choice. It might do the Trick. Go to your nearest Detailing Shop to see what they might be able to do for you. But i would try a high speed Buffer. Or even an orbital Buffer!!
Good Luck.

Very possible. As stated, just give it a shot.
