Default My homebuilt rotated t3/t4 setup at the track - video

Went up to Bandimere in Denver CO for a once a year special track day...

Very nice track, but it's at 5800ft altitude!!! which is a 1000ft higher than where I normally run. Also well over 100 mile drive... and the track temp was 97 degrees

Even against these odd's, the little Wagon prevailed!

Ran a best of a 12.6 @ 113 mph!!! ...

2.0 sixty foot.. I had my LC set to only build about 5 psi trying to prolong my 5 speed until I can dump the 07 STi box in. I came very close to upping it a bit to get sub 2.0 sixty's but held out. Not to mention I was sleeping at the tree....

Car pulls very hard on the top end, hence the 113 trap!

Here is a video I just finished slapping together.. has some various footage mixed in along with my 12.6 run. Enjoy... thanks for taking the time to watch!

Beautiful setup. I love the fact that you went a different route with that turbo, well,at least for the States.

Sweeet homegrown power there.

I know how difficult Bandi can be, and I bet that 5800 BASE elevation was pushed much higher on a 97F day as far as air density goes. That time would be probably be high 11's at 118 at sea level (especially if you could get the 60 down a bit)

again - nice!

Never had it to a dyno... car is stock weight wise, (I'm 6'4" 220) do we have a ballpark on HP with a 113mph trap... I'm just somewhat curious about where I'm sitting right now??

Around 330-350whp depending on the exact weight of your car with you in it.

I use the online calcs available HERE, which have proven to be pretty spot on for me.

Sweet setup and results! I'm about 100 miles from Bandimere too; where are you at in Colorado?

Man that thing lags, but once its there its awesome. Good numbers, especially for home brew and high altitude! Never thought about tossing on a T3/T4. You have ideas churning in my head now

Great job!

Lower your 60 ft time, move to the beach, and you'll be in the 11s!

It's actually not as bad as it looks on the video... I actually took it up to almost 5000 under light throttle before nailing in.... in higher gears it will build full boost by around 3700-3800 rpms... where my STi turbo would by 3000.... so it's worse, but not as bad as it appeared the way I drove it in the video. The lower gears of course it comes on fairly late... but with launch control it works fine. I guess that was kind of misleading because it's hard to hear where I finally gave it 100%

Thank you for the comments!!!

I'm about 25 miles east of Colorado Springs.. in the middle of no where...

Thanks Scuba.. I hear your motor is back together... didn't you make some runs at PMI a few weeks back? Hope things are working well for you... hopefully I'll see you at the track sometime.
