Default 06 Wagon Track Results

Ran the wagon at cecil last week, beating up on modded GTO's ftw.

The launch might not be the best, but since I'm still on a R160 and stock axles, I'm not gonna push my luck. Tires were at 50psi, LC @ 5000, spinning a bit off the line.

I was fighting the trans the whole day... missed shifts and slow 13's the syncros on shockproof oil just can't keep up with the FFS shifts. This run was clean FFS 1-2 and 3-4, but the 2-3 shift needs alot of work.

R/T....... 0.522
60'........ 1.858
330'...... 5.277
1/8........8.054
MPH...... 90.21
1000..... 10.450
1/4........12.460
MPH...... 112.94

HP Calculator @ 3250lbs
Trap Speed Method: approx. 365 WHP
ET Method: approx. 332 WHP

Looks like I can pull 12.2 if I drop the tire pressure and get out of the hole... seems like it can make more than 23mph on the back half if I nail the shifts.

Thanks Cheif

Shouldn't you be replacing the front driveshaft in your legacy

Actually no just needed a sample shaft for comparetive measurements so as to make up stronger shafts for the front and change the rears to suit R180. Might as well add a 1-piece driveshaft at the same time while I'm at it. It can go with my ppg frt diff, ppg dog box, dccd centre and spec R180 rear. You see when you make real power you need a capable platform. Hey what do I know your the specialist

Be interesting to see how your power would change if you leaned it out to 11:1.

10:1 seems pretty rich for 93 octane.

I say bump it to 21psi and 11:1 and go back....nice time/trap for the conservative tune.

Can you post up a dyno sheet out of airboys spreadsheet?

^^ Good luck. Thats my goal too, 11 second daily driver. But from my searching I have only seen 2-4 timeslips from Greens in the 11's.

mine.....370whp/375tq on 91+meth @ 25-26psi on the lowest reading dyno ever, DynoLog

My 02wrx that did 350whp/320tq on this dyno trapped 115mph.

IMO, if you can drive, consistent 11's shouldn't be too hard with a good meth tune at 24psi.

I'm now running 11.5 AFR's, but I made some changes to the car right before the runs, and only had enough laptop battery for a couple OL Maf tunes. I'll try to do a good 4th gear road pull tonight and post it up.

I'm in the process of p&p'ing an 04 manifold... going to add a crosspipe, maybe an uppipe, and go back to the track. I'll probably go for 22psi and dial in the timing, hopefully I can get the trap up a few mph and get some lower 12's, then I'll burn the Q16

In addition to the ... front driveshaft , I recommend you change your boost fluid and upgrade muffler bearings. But hey, what do I know, I only make fake power.

Got some pulls in, but the spreadsheet keeps giving me garbage, I'll have to figure out dataloglab... Any special settings on the spreadsheet? I put in my new FD, and logged rpm + mph... but it keeps giving me a linear curve from 0 to 700hp

Ill post my time, but it will suck. Its really hot here (110+ during the day and 90* until almost midnight). The density altitude is always really high. When I still had the vf39, tbe, headers, ext wastegate, etc on I could still only trap 103-104mph with 1.7 60 foots.

My car is still down getting the motor put in, then i gotta break it in so it will be a while. I was expecting it to trap 108-111mph on pump and 113-116mph on pump+meth so i dont think ill break into the 11's. My other car did 115mph with less hp but the STi is heavier and has an extra shift so im expecting right around there still.

Yep, I'm using airboys. It looks like I simply need more data points (4th gear). After messing around with the smoothing I got a rough graph that looks like 375 wtq/whp @ 4500/6500. This was on ~22psi and 11.5 AFRs.

116 should be enough for 11's with a nasty launch and FFS.

heres mine on 91, 91+meth and 100+meth. Smoothing is set to 3. Our numbers are very similar, pretty much the same exact setup too. You on 93oct? Where'd you get the FFS and LC files? Can you email them to me or give me a link?

Yup, 93 octane.

I got the LC and FFS from Tinywrex. The 16 bit patches are free, 32bits are pay only @ www.tinywrex.tk
