DYNO SHEET:

Notes:

We were having issues wastegate actuator. From having 5psi and alot of lag, we starting making adjustments to the actuator. After finally getting the vehicle to hold some boost we left it at 19psi. Customer did not want a dyno queen. Just something nice and healthy due to him changing the actuator and adding some meth injection. I believe with the higher boost levels with the meth injection we will see some really good numbers. But again none the less, a good increase over stock with alot left on the table. Nice and smooth RPM band and again, a really smooth AFR.

Power Increase: +170-180whp over stock (safe & conservative)

Tuning Note:

- AFR: 11.2-10.7
- BOOST: 19.5psi
- TIMING: Conservative
- FUEL: 93 Octane

I have NEVER seen a stock LGT baseline at 130whp-140whp. The lowest was an auto trans at about 170whp, most dyno around 200whp on all types of dynos. You've got some kind of heartbreaker there. What do WRX's dyno, 100whp?

Seems inline with their 08 STi. I put down 200whp on a DD too when i was stock.

that dyno is a kick in the nutz . better off posting track times. nice increase though. he needs tgv deletes and header to let that turbo breathe

the 420 has been documented as a laggy turbo, it performs well but spool up is not great.

this build is not planned well. running a top mount(w/o meth) with this turbo is not a good choice. AVO recommends a fmic. it needs tgv deletes as well.

if a stock one is going 130hp and the car is making 300 now, thats a pretty damn good increase if you ask me...

my stock sti would do 240whp on the local dyno... thats adding 170 more whp... thats 410...

+1. I can see 160-170whp for a 5MT car on a low reading heartbreaker, but there is no way a healthy 5MT LGT makes 130-140whp bone stock. I've had one factory freak put down 225whp on my Dynojet and while it does read higher than most DD's (depending on user calibration) that is a HUGE delta. Most normal 5MT LGT do about 200-205 whp here. I'd love to see 1/4 times and traps for the car in the original post to see what's really going on.

What were the IDC's? If the dyno is as low reading as the claimed stock baseline numbers suggest that it could be, then 740's would be maxed out right around the power level that car is at right now.

its true, at there big dyno day. I saw a couple stock sti's lay down 190whp. BONE stock.

The dyno just reads low. not a big deal. my car stock layed down 200whp.

nice gains, not my fav turbo option

Could be, but an STi doesn't make 70whp more than a LGT. You would of been in the 160-170whp range.

Well it does matter when there is no baseline chart then there is a claim of xxxwhp gain. With the mods listed above, there is no way a 180whp increase would be possible.

Infamous1,

On our dyno with ZERO correction and with the SAE "ON". Stock Legacy's put down what I stated above. In cold weather, i.e. winter, I do see a bump to 150whp but that is the highest I have seen. In this weather, we only see 130-140whp out of the legacy's.

If you would like, no charge, you can have a STOCK legacy come down to our facility and I will dyno it.

Besides, stock is stock. The basline is the baseline. Every dyno is different and every dyno reads different. I post up what ever the vehicle makes. Besides, all of our WHP numbers = our TRAP SPEEDS. Thats all that matters to us. Just do a search.

Lets not ruin this thread by causing drama.

why does HP fall off..on top of that falls off too soon? with that turbo power should keep going.
does the 05LGT have AVCS?

anyways..this car should look similar to this:

same turbo on MY07 STI

Swift2fly,

The HP fall off is from the boost taper. We were having trouble with the IWG actuator. I had mentioned it in the first post.

Nice curve. Numbers look almost similiar.

thanks. so does the 05LGT come with AVCS? because the AVO spools quicker on my STi vs. the LGT..according to the graph that is.

sorry i missed that but does this avo450 come with the 15psi wastegate actuator? or am i reading that it came with a 5psi one?

FYI my boost peeks at 23psi but then tapers down to 18psi. on low boost it's a consistant 18psi.
