This was my second time at the track with this car, I'm still getting used to launching an AWD car verses my mustangs with slicks. The car is self tuned by me using ecuflash/romraider on 93 octane gas. The car has TGV deletes, Tial 38mm EWG, catless downpipe/up-pipe, Home-made CAI, and LGT 1-2 gears. I think the stock intercooler and cat-back are realy holding this car back. DA was about 1,500 feet during this run. Is this a good time for my mods?

R/T - .121
60' - 1.85
330 - 5.376
1/8 - 8.358
mph - 81.8
1000 - 10.952
1/4 - 13.168
mph - 101.65

Not bad at all for second time at the track. Near sea level we have several folks that have gotten into the high 12's on the stock turbo, so there is a little more to be had there if you want to go for it, but that is a very respectable run.

See my sig for my best time on the stock turbo at 5800 ft altitude DA about 7800 ft.

Your 60' time isn't bad, but with a 1.7ish 60' you might be looking at 12's- especially if you upgraded the intercooler and catback and then retuned for them. Running 12's on the stock 2.0 and TD04 is a pretty good benchmark.

Yea it's kinda harder to launch the car with the LGT's 3.18 first gear but it keeps me in the powerband after the 1-2 shift. I want to try 205/45-16 tires to give some more torque on launch and a cutout for faster spool and a little more top-end. I should easily be in the 12's with just some better air and those small mods.

[email protected] is great run. Open up your exhaust and change the intercooler, and you def. got 12's, and your trap speed shouold go up too. What are your afr, timing, and boost set at?

I had a 1.82 60' earlier that same day but tried short shifting at 6,500 and the car didn't like it running [email protected]. I never have any luck trying to watch the tack while launching, it always ends up with a boggy 1.9-2.0 60'. I just stab the throttle fast to get the turbo spooling and slip the clutch out between the 2nd and 3rd yellow light. Rpm's drop to about 5,000 and I shift into 2nd at 7,000 and make the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts at 6,800.

My calculations show the smaller tires would give me the same effective 1st gear ratio as stock but make the rest of the gears slightly shorter. Hopefuly it doesn't just spin and I rocket off to a 12 second run.

It's ironic as I'm running IWG, but that's mainly because my car's a test mule for some new Tomei parts, and what do you know, the uppipe doesn't support EWG in stock form.

I noticed the motor was pulling ~10 more G/S with 1psi less boost in logs after I installed the EWG. Plus I love the sound

congrats on the nice runs,.. keep at it 12's are just around the corner!
My best td04 run so far is [email protected] 107mph
Did you say stock catback?!? WTF! Ditch that thing quick super restrictive....
My runs were on stock intercooler so I think it is up to the task,... I actually think it hurt me when I upgraded intercoolers due to the larger volume the small turbo has to fill.

I hope after Tomei is done collecting all the data/logs from my car, I can go EWG. My setup's too stealthy as it is.

Yea stock cat-back. I'm not sure if I want to get 3" cat-back or just weld a cutout into the downpipe for track use. 107 is flying on stock turbo! I think I could pull more out of it flat-foot shifting but I don't want to shatter my trans again.

Sorry I missed this the first time I read your post. AFR are in the mid 11's. Timing is conservative at ~15 at max load going up to 30 at 7000 rpm showing no sign of knock. Boost peaks at 18psi and tapers to 12.5.
