Default STI engine into Bugeye...

Okay, So im thinking I may drop and STI engine into my bugeye- BUT I know it can be as easy as just dropping it in and hooking everything up. Does anyone know of any problems Id face when doing this swap? Im sure this post is up all over the place, but I figured Id ask real quick... I know the AVCS does propose a problem, but If I don't install the solenoids and plug the holes I think I'll be fine.

Although I've heard that you have to swap out the cams and crap like that... Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks!

If you dont want to use AVCS with your sti swap then your better off not swapping. Look into a ej207 swap.

There's a lot more to a full swap than just dropping it in. This is a build, not a plug-n-play setup.

well you can plug and play after you play with wires for days or weeks on end

So you're saying play, play, play, play some more, and then plug? Sounds about right

Im having a custom wiring harness made. At first im just going to swap the manifold and the throttle body so its drive by cable, and then temp. plug the AVCS holes until the harness is done. I think other then those two complications, it should drop in... But im not sure... haha

It's never that easy....if you're gonna do a swap, might as well do the WHOLE thing all at once. Your wallet will thank you if you do it all at once....
