I am bored at work. (As usual) I was browsing autotrader and found this
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...00&cardist=159
Yes its nothing special right now but with a little time and money this car can be boatloads of fun. I would get it right this day, unfortunatly I am needing a engagement ring for my girlie, savings for a house/condo/etc.

For 2,000 it can be a good investment for a GC.

Swap a full wrx or STI engine in
Upgrade the suspension system'
Upgrade drive terrain to STI tranny/sti parts
Upgrade body parts
repaint the car
stip off some of the bulky impreza plastic parts (plastic side panals, etc)
do some interior work and walla it can be a good rally, track, or weekend car. Anyways I thought id post and see if it sparks someones intrest. Wish I could buy it but I hope another member does and makes it amazing

BTW if intrested in going with the rally route, look into going this route for a basic rally starter kit

With the swap you would make it go from automatic to manual

ok wow. after calling that stealership back 6 times, each with a promise of a returned call (never got any), i finally just stopped by when i was by lloyd center. do NOT buy anything from them.

not disclosed in the listing is that the car isnt in good shape. there is a huge gash in the passenger side covering both doors, and the CF hood is old and discolored, and clearcoat in bad shape. its also for a 97-01 but the car still has 93-96 headlights and grill. so the hood doesnt even fit properly. i tried to explain the fitment and how the stock 95 hood i had would make the car much more sellable since it will look a lot better, match color, and fit properly. i went in offering $100 PLUS my stock hood, even though after seeing it i didnt actually want it but i still offered. i made it clear it would be easy and i knew all about it. the guy said "well we dont normally do stuff like that but i'll go ask" (understandable). he comes back and says "yeah he's not interested" (he i assume to be the manager or something). i asked to talk to whoever "he" was and the guy just stares at me and loudly repeats "we're not interested!" and promptly walks off, apparently to go help the slew of nonexistent other customers.

none of the sales guys were dressed nicely. there was
- a young punk with hand sores
- an older black man who seemed nice but taken advantage of
- the guy "richard" who i had spoken to on the phone, who genuinely seemed helpful but apparently had been fired that day when i stopped by
- the very rude guy who i talked to at the place, who was old and leathery with clothes too large for his thin body
- couple other balding guys who gave me very strange looks and looked sketchy themselves.

so just dont go there. they have lots of cars that they are milking for all theyre (not) worth. none of the cars have warranties, even if they are new enough that they should have at least some remaining factory coverage
