Default HKS Kansai seat lowering rails

Looking for a set of rails to drop the height of a V2 STi seat in a car of mine. I know wedge makes rails, but it sounds like no one has good luck with them. Next up is the HKS Kansai rails, which seem to work great for people with jdm GD seats.
Has anyone ever used them with GC seats? I really only need the pass side seat rail (our driver's side in the US), as I fit ok as is, but i'm not sure i could with my helmet on.

Anyone have any experience with this issue?

yes, they can order them, but as far as i know those are made for the v7/v8 style seats, and won't work with our usdm sti seats. but what about the jdm wrx/sti seats (all the same shape roughly, just different coverings. i have several sets)? I'm running V2 STi seats in my mk1 mr2, and they bolt in just fine, but they could stand to sit a bit lower to fit me with my helmet on.

Pretty sure they will work with the non Recaro seats which are the stock OEM STI seats. HKS Kansai make 2 styles of the lower seat brackets. One for the Recaro's and one for the non-Recaros. Just double check with Graham at Japanparts to make sure. I am sure he would be more than happy to help out!

HKS Kansai confirm;

The lowering brackets work with Stock JDM Recaro-style seats + JDM "Non=Recaro" type seats

That is: the type of OEM seats that came in the JDM car OR Subaru STi offered as an Option for the JDM cars

This does *not* mean the HKS brackets work with "regular" Recaros, or USDM seats ( they don't as a Plug + Play bolt-in, unless you are prepared to modify these to make 'em work!! )

Yes, we supply these for Legacys, Forresters + Imprezas ( all Years )

awww...Being 6'2" is a pain. I love my STi seats, but if I could find a way to lower them an inch or two, that would be awesome.
