you can get frosted lens fx35 projectors for as little as 60 bucks on ebay. sure they are frosted lenses, but i have seen a thread that explains how to actually polish the frosted part out to make your own clear lenses.

it took me 4 days to do an fx35 retro. i cant imagine how long it would take to gut out 04/05 stis and put them into bugeye housings. not worth it IMO
Well respectfully, that is your project and this is his. I am interested to see if a reflector can be made as a diy project. I'm not sure what the inner reflector housing is made out of? Probably some sort of polymer or composite metal but if one can be created like the 04 STi reflector setups, I am interested to see the difference in results. You could also probably even track down any type of working or busted reflector housing and try to use that as a means of retrofit. I think acuras and nissans have a bunch of different types of reflector HID setups... not extremely cheap unless they're busted, but same effect. Ex: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA...Q5fAccessories

Honestly jdubya is right, with all this time and effort your could even pick up some TSX projectors from ebay for about the same price as the fx35.... somewhere around 75 but then you're still chopping your bugeye headlight unless you get the jdm or edm versions that have a slot in the housing to fit a projector.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted... however, do NOT go out driving and blinding everyone on the road until your setup is safe for everyone. You could be blinding someone so bad that they head on you... ppl want you to succeed but nobody wants you or your rex to say adios. Keep it up, safely. You have my support.
