Talking Subie #2 in the family

Just got done buying the wife her new car. New timberline green Outback Limited Wagon at Natick. Extremely good experience. I had done all my homework up front and had our 98 Blazer that unfortunately has not been stolen or been the target of a terrorist bomb, so trade in was my goal. I had 2 numbers written down going in....Lower than expected and maximum expected price plus the Blazer. I offered a lowball ($1500 below my low expected) and they came back with a price smack in the middle of my 2 numbers. Most acceptible. Deal took all of 4 minutes. They prepped the car, transferred the plates, I wrote a personal check for the difference and drove home. I've heard other people bad mouth Natick a couple of times, but this was the easiest, fairest deal I've ever done on a car. Now I REALLY have to look into a supercharger for the RS because it has a new home whenever that car gets sold.

Anyone who's interested in talking to a good sales guy who tells you up front that he gets $120 commission no matter what you pay, send me an email. They'll send me a finders fee if you buy and mention my name.

Actually, I think most of the badmouthing is about their service crew, not the sales guys. (Although they DID try to sell me a WRX with 300 miles on it after a racing test drive).

Congrats on the new subie, and welcome to the 2+ Subaru club!

well I only have one subaru so screw me

good for you jack, glad you had a pleasant experience. so far I haven't heard anyone NOT badmouth one facet or another of a dealership. if a lot of people go there, they'll find something to complain about.

Tri-state (my dealership) not many people have gone there, so there isn't a lot of complaints

so far the only place I've had a problem with is Norwood's service:monkey: bunch of friggin idiots

speed safely
