Default EJ22E Cost

I have a wrecked '95LX. It has an EJ22E with 110K miles on it. Oil changed every 3K, no leaks except around where the oil is inputted... just needs a gasket there.

It was rear ended and basically the trunk is gone. The engine, tranny, interior and everything are still ok.

How much is the engine worth for someone who would want to turbo it?

About as much as for someone who didn't want to turbo it. If its in good shape maybe a couple hundred bucks. You can find them in the local junkyards for 100 bucks sometimes. There not worth much cause they aren't a motor one would want to upgrade to unless they have a blown EJ22 or the EJ18.

i got a ej22e w/ 150K on it for $50. not worth much unless its built, but no one builds open deck ej22s..oh dont get me wrong, ppl have done it, but everyone who wants big hp goes for the 2.5L blocks.

I would say try the classified wanted, see if someone needs a replacement motor. You could also try seeing if anyone would buy yours if you made a thread in the for sale section.

Dont hope to get too much from it.

Your best bet is somone that wants to mod their car and has an EJ18 impreza.
