Default Renault-Nissan and Energie Ouest Suisse to develop zero-emission car in Switzerland

Energie Ouest Suisse (EOS), the Swiss electric utility firm and Renault-Nissan lately made public they are joining forces to design solutions for zero-emission mobility in Switzerland via the advertisement of electric vehicles and the founding of a battery-charging system.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding which was signed lately, the two companies will study means of applying and keeping a battery-charging network all over the country. The agreement will also see the supply of all-electric vehicles by Renault-Nissan to EOS. Producing 85% of its electric energy from hydropower, EOS is the first company for Renault-Nissan to link with in Switzerland (the headquarters of Nissanís European operations) for a program of zero-emissions.

Renault-Nissan has also started zero emission proposals with Israel, Denmark, Portugal, the Principality of Monaco and EDF, the French utility company, including the State of Tennessee, the State of Oregon and Sonoma County in northern California in the United States. In Japan, the Alliance has joined with the City of Yokohama and the Prefecture of Kanagawa.
