Default no idea where this goes

alright ill start with it being like neg. seven here and my washer fluid just stoped working so i open the hood and find that the reservoir is froze solid so i take it out and find this. i have no idea where it goes if it matters i have a 04 wrx i fixed the prob i had and all seems to be working just kinda wondering what this is suppose to be doing. thanks in advance for any help.

Its the plug for the pump on the rear washer pump for the wagons. It does nothing for you. assuming you have a sedan...

And you know they have fluid you are supposed to use in really cold temps... keeps it from turning into an ice block! usually nothing bad happens, but you can destroy the pump &/or fluid lines from freezing them solid.

(yeah i've done it plenty of times myself, forgot to get the low temp stuff in before it got cold, instant ice block for the next 4 months. If you have some room at the top of the resevoir you can add low temp fluid and it will eventually melt out the other stuff.)

if you had a wagon....that plug woulda gone to the washer pump to the rear window

just leave it alone and all's well
