![]() This is the second Subaru we have built for this customer the first one a 06 STI is shown in this build up thread here 06 STI TSR 70 When we started on his 06 sti the first thing we did was pull the long block as he no longer needed it with the COBB long block going in its place. Instead of selling it we just moved it over into his recently purchased daily driver this 07 WRX and added a few more parts in order to turn this car into a daily driven beast.

![]() Yep he has a ACT clutch and flywheel but so far the tranny has held up very well. One full autocross season and he competes very regularly. Ryan Fine Line Imports www.finelineimports.net http://fliblog.wordpress.com/ Last edited by Fine Line Imports; 01-22-2009 at 05:20 PM. |

![]() Yea... just curious if in the first side shot are chromed BBSes, or if it is just a trick of the lighting.
Very nice car... too much for me, but very clean. - dow EDIT: Already answered. Thanks. |

The BBS depending on the light go from a black chrome to almost looking like a regular chrome. I did not think I was going to like the wheels at first but they grew on me for sure. Ryan Fine Line Imports www.finelineimports.net |

The WRX is more of a daily driver way more so then the STI. He wanted something he could have fun Auto crossing with and a track monster so he ended up with two cars. A few reasons the first being he had the long block sitting around from his other build up so he was not out any money. Secondly STI long blocks and WRX 2.5 long blocks are not exactly the same. STI run on a lower compression ratio of 8.2:1 instead of 8.5:1 as in the WRX. To the question of why not just by a STI he did and we are in the process of building that one up as well. ![]() Why would you want lower compression? Not enough people realize the advantage in terms of spool/response/off boost behavior that comes with compression.
