Default What type of rims fit on 97 Impreza Outback?

My girlfriend just bought a 97 Impreza Outback, and she wants some rims.
I have some 5x100 ET35 rims from a VW, and my Grand Am has some universal 5x100/5x114 rims (not sure of the offset).
are Subarus 5x100?
and what is the minimum ET for clearance?
thats a picture of the rims on my car (note, I hate my car )

5x100 is correct. Generally only offsets of +48mm or higher are considered "safe", especially for the GC/GF chassis cars. I.E. your VW wheels will almost certainly rub the fender lip of your girlfriends car, not to mention the possibility of strange handling and wheel bearing wear. HTH.

In summary, all wheels that work on Impreza should work on Impreza outback, same car, different body cladding and paint.
