Default Installing a GD dash/HVAC AFTER swap is already complete?

Sick of the 98 Dash, it's so outdated!

I already have a full STi motor and tranny swap and was wondering if anybody has actually swapped in a GD dash and HVAC after teh wiring and swap was complete?

From what I have heard, I would need to rewire the whole thing, which is $$$.
If I have to spend $3,000, I will just go buy an 06/07 STi haha
