Default Hey guys... any new pics from March 30th AutoX? also..

I have made several updates to the site. They don't answer all the questions, but you can get a feel for what is going on... I know not all you guys are interested to drive on asphalt, so there is a rally cross that w-a-g is putting up on the 21st I think.

What is everyones experience with WAG?

For the guys that are interested in AutoX, please read the updates on www.autox.bizWWW.AUTOX.BIZ

Nick some of us are okay with W-A-G's way of doing things( i for one don't care i'm there to have fun) but they do tend to be on the disorganzied side which tends to urk the guys that are really heavy into auto-x. W-A-G's rules are meant more for rally racing, in Auto-x you really need to have different classes to run in. You guys did a pretty good job for hosting your first Auto-X but there is definitely room for improvement. Note that i am not bashing anyone here just making a help reccomendation.

Here's my input

A) GLD is NOT the place to hold and Auto-x...a college such as UW Parkside would be a better place
B)Allowing people to do donuts with their cars will NOT get you invited back to the property. It's viewed as reckless irresponsible and just childish, all of which i agree with.
C) Having hardened obstables(trashcan's filled with water) anywhere NEAR the course is a bad thing. The day was very LUCKY to have ended with no severe injuries or disasters.
d) the Track layouts need to be more clear and made clear thru the use of pointer cones as well as the cone's original place needs to be marked.
E) If you are serious about hosting quite a few Auto-x's i reccomend you get a set of timing lights and try to get an SCCA sanction of some type.
F) If you need help organizing i am usually free during the day.
G) The set schedule needs to be stuck too...i found it to be a personal piss off that i got up at 7:30 am after working till 1:30 the night before to be there by 9:15 to make sure there was room for everyone to race. Those that showed up at noon were allowed to waltz in the door and into line.
H) GET THE PRICE DOWN....had i totally not had the bug to drive i would never have paid $35 to race...if you do the math that's at least a $50 day for most people which can get to be expensive.

All in all it turned out good but it could have been a whole lot worse.

I think you snagged all the pictures we have to offer, do you know who was taking video?? I know there were 2 camera's ont he straights and i'd really like to get some footage of me taking those turns...anyhow.

my rides

your welcome for the pictures I will send you more if you want. Also videos are being mix'd and edited. If joe doesn't mind me droping a few on my server space.
I was a newbie...
For a first time ever...doing anything of the sorts. I had no clue what I was supposed to do, hand out, walk to, piss in or park. That was a little confusing. If there is a way to fix that....I think that would be great.
I personally thought it was a little expensive. I think 20-25 is ok. but ack when I rolled up to the gate and had to pay 35 bucks..yikes. Neways. it was fun. I would also be willing to help out at events. From running cones and all sorts if ya need the help. Well it was fun. thanks for doing it. I appreciate people who MAKE things happen instead of talking about it. For that your ok in my book
