Default 2000impreza swap. questions!

I'm wanting to do a swap. i seriously want around 500awhp. I'm not looking to rush into it but that's what i want. I'm not really to sure where to start I do not know what will hold up on my 2000 impreza 2.5 rs. so i really want to build on the motor and prepair my car for the swap. I know there is alot of forums about swaps. But im not really sure what will hold up on the car and where to start.. anyhelp would be great!!! thanks. and i want 2 do this cheaply but also the right way

nothing will hold up. 500whp is freakin huge for anything but a race car.

You could use teh gobstopper as a model and work back from there.
The gobstopper is an 800 awhp 2000 RS beast.
That is the epitome of what I want in a Subaru.

500 whp is alot. Have you ever driven a 300/400 whp car? Or even been in one?

Basically, you just want to do a complete STI swap and a big turbo. Its a simple plan but there is no such thing as doing this cheap. The "cheapest" way to do it would be to buy a wrecked STI and basically move everything over to your RS. Get the motor built and then buy a 35r or something similar. Expect to spend $20,000 plus, plus when stuff breaks you have to fix it. And it will break with 500hp. Is it really worth it? Do you just want to drive around on the street and say you have a 500 hp car? or will you be racing?

It may be a better option to buy an older WRX and slap a stg two on it. plenty of power for the street and it wont break the bank
