Default Assaultech

New company based here in Birmingham. Ordered several things from them last week. Fast delivery and great support. They also offer porting work and other things as well. I've seen their work and it is pretty A+. They have a domain at assaultech.com and a full website coming soon, but they have an ebay store up already. Great company 10/10.

I don't have any experience with them on the business side of things, but on a personal level good people that definitely know what they're talking about when it comes to automotive parts and work.

I ordered an skunk2 upper ball joint from Assaultech 3 weeks ago. It has never shown up and I never received a tracking number. I have called at least ten times and no one answers and I sent an email in over a week ago with no response.

Ok I have spent the past few days talking to a lot of vendors and assaultech had by far the best price. So today I was Chatting with Dan and gave him all my part numbers, he e-mailed me an invoice, I verified that everything was correct and called him up and made the order.

Then a few minutes later while my computer still has the chat screen up he lets me know where my parts are coming from (east coast/ west coast) and which ones will be here the fastest.

Much appreciated, and very easy to deal with. will update when the parts come in

Angry Another experience

So, I placed my order on March 18. Nothing major, some stainless brake lines, speed bleeders, fluid, and EBC brake pads. Card was charged on the 19th and on the 20th I got an email from Dan requesting a non-PO box address to ship to. I replied that day but didn't hear anything back.

Keep checking the website to see if my order status has changed. Email several times to various email addresses to try and get some tracking information. No response.

Try calling, it takes a couple calls to get to Dan, "oh yeah, I guess I should have told you the EBC pads were a special order..." Really? Greenstuff for a '97 Legacy? End story, the order is delayed because the pads won't be ready to ship to me until Apr 2. "The brake lines should have shipped by now." I say, "great can I get a tracking number?" Dan:"I'll look that up and get back to you." Supposedly the brake fluid and speed bleeders are on the shelf ready to go when the pads come in.

So, Apr 2 comes and goes and I get no new info. No tracking number, no call, no email. Nuthin. Checking daily at the post office, just in case. On the 3rd, I have to threaten to cancel the order and sure enough, 3 minutes later Dan replies that the pads new ETA is Apr 9. Still no tracking info on the brake lines, so I email again requesting tracking for the brake lines. No response.

So I emailed that he needed to ship a partial order or I was cancelling. To Dan's credit, he did this. I received a tracking number and got a package 2 days later from Livonia, MI. It had speed bleeders and a substitute for the brake fluid I had ordered. Interesting.

So here we are, 3 1/2 weeks later, and I have 27% of my order (by the $), no tracking number, and no response from Dan. Yet, he's been able to post his great deals here on the boards?

I don't believe in supporting someone who only responds when they absolutely have to. According to teh Google, I'm not the only person with this experience.

Default Not recommended!

After more unanswered emails, I had to pursue dispute resolution through my credit card company. I also had to source other brake pads to keep the project rolling. Two days after I file the dispute, apparently Assaultech shipped the brake pads. They never let me know this, and they showed up today. Now I have (and have had to pay for) two sets of brake pads.

Fck those guys. Never again. I paid twice the posted price in my wasted time.
