Default Turbo XS boost controller install 2004 WRX question

So a friend of mine gave me this off an STI that he never put on his. I have a 2004 WRX and he said it would be an easy install. I know it is a Turbo XS boost controller but I dont know where to install it. I went to turbo xs website but none of the boost controllers look like this. Doesnt anyone here have any help?

BTW sorry if the pics are huge.. im at work and kinda limited as to what I can do with changing size.

What are your plans for the car? If you are changing the boost controller, you will most likely have to change something in your engine management. You can't just throw that thing on the car and crank up the boost, unless you are tuning for it or you are using it within stock parameters.

I have a boost gauge that I am installing to watch the boost. They guy said all i needed was that to make sure any adjustments I made with the boost controller I wouldnt boost to high. He said to install it turned all the way down and then slowly increass the boost controller until desiered boost is reached. He never said anything ab out a tune. I plan on one day going stage 2 with other mods but now I dont have the cash for that.

that is a auxiliary boost controller (ABC) it's not going to be much help to you without a UTEC. I'm fairly sure that the stock ECU is going to see overboost and bring it back down to target.

Pick up a used Cobb AP V1 or get an open source Stage 1 upgrade. Can't beat the extra HP/torque for the low price.

The 2004 ECU definitely does not like add-ons without the appropriate software upgrade.
