Default Impreza 2006 Converstion - Help

Hey guys..

I have a non-turbo Impreza 2006, AWD 2.0 5MT..

I'm looking for a STi conversion(Swap)

Which conversion I should be looking at?

I have found a STi 1998 Full Conversion, and as he says everything fits in my 2006 Impreza..Would you recommend a 1998 on my 2006?

someone advised me to get the 2002 STi conversion (6MT) 2.0, of course I would go for the 2002 but the problem here is money I can afford the 1998 version, Would you recommend to wait and save money for a 2002? or 1998 is just fine?

I have no Idea what to do, First time and don't want rubbish into my car

I have 160bhp, 280 is a big difference, is it on my heavier 2006?

Suggestion please

I'm looking for more HP+Torque with affordable price for my 2006 Impreza..

I get to have more reasonable power plus 2006 Look..

1998 is fine with me as in its power and the 5MT, but heard that 1998 isn't good choice and used too many years now even import from Japan...

I'd like the 2002 with its 6MT but I will have to wait another year to get the money..

do I go for the 1998?

NO!! It is a total waste of money to drop an old motor into a new car. Your car will have more or less ZERO resale value if you do something like this as you will not be able to get the car inspected in most states. Save your money and get an 02+ USDM WRX or STi setup.

I live in Amman, Jordan.. the person is really good and has done many conversions..

if we forget about resale value and the idea of installing an older setup on a new car..

Is the 98 STi setup worthy? can it be improved to greater Horse Power wit hits 5MT?

I don't have the money to get 06 STi and I'm not going to sell my car in any way..

the 1998 STi setup fits great and affordable, also I get more powerful car than it used to be..

The Question is, is an Imported 98 STi setup from Japan good as an engine and improving HP, for a low budget, is it good setup?

if I get 280 HP with HKS Air Filter+Exhaust+ few tuning, then it's great, better than my 160BHP which I think is less online..all I'm afraid of is how good it is..

My car is fully ready, All I need is STi setup to install and wire, and a better driver and that's me to be trained how to shift and launch probably..

What do you think?!!!!

5 days and the car is ready to go, I keep ABS and other features..
Cost= 3000JDs = 2130 USD with everything plus STi Hood and speed limiter over 180 km/h..

Quick Questions:

- How can I verify it's what I ordered, not an older Setup?

- MY06 Impreza is heavier by arund 250-300 Kgs, how much will it affect the 0-60m/h time?

(I have TEIN suspensions installed with Front, rear bars
STi Spoiler
18' Wheels
HKS Air Filter
STi Exhaust
