![]() All, i just installed the heated morrors on my 2006 Baja and they work great.
![]() Heated Mirror Driver's (Left): 91031AE99ANN Heated Mirror Passenger's (Right): 91031AE98ANN Mirror Switch (with heat): 83061AE04A All parts can be bought at subarupartsforyou.com so you can order it all in one shot. No need to visit your dealer. The install is real easy, with direct replacement of existing mirrors and switch assembly. Now I have my Atlantic Blue Pearl powered (non-heat) mirrors for sale. Let me know if you are interested. I listed them in the for-sale area of the forum. Cheers

![]() Did you get your heated mirrors painted? I thought I saw a note on subarupartsforyou.com that they would be able to paint the mirrors for you. I suspect that I am wrong.
Is it feasible to buy the heated mirrors and just exchange the "guts" of the heated mirrors with the currrant, painted mirrors? |

![]() I did not get my mirrors painted. I think there is a way to extract the mirror and power module from the painted hoods, but it involves heating up the glass to soften the holder and I believe that there is some glue that is used to secure the glass. This glue has to be cut through and you run the risk of breaking your mirror in the process. While that may not be a bad thing on the non-heated mirror, you definately would not want to have that happen to your brand new heated mirrors. It is just not an easy process any way you look at it.

![]() ANY outback or Legacy mirrors from 2000-2004 will bolt right up. I got the switch for the door @ subarupartsforyou.com it was $50 or so. the master control on the drivers side pops right up with a gentle pry from a flatblade screwdriver. You can then pop out the mirror control and pop in the heated mirror control. There is also a #3 phillips screw behind that for door panel removal. the 2nd #3 phillips is located behind the little square under the armrest. then reach under the door panel at the bottom and pop out the door pops, then the door panel slides up off the window sil. if you have tweeters they will have to be popped off first. the mirror harness is up near the mirror, and the door is prewired for it. 3 screws hold the mirror on, remove, install, re-tighten the screws, hookup the harness, re-align and pop the door panel back on, 2 #3 screws, master control, and done.... 15min tops.... then the pass door is the same. ![]() if you can dealwith unpainted mirrors, a company called keystone does auto crash parts and can get you unpainted ones new in the box for less than subaru OEM ones. |
