starter issue?
1997 outback
Before the car used to start right up but the last few times it cranks for 2 seconds or more and then starts I'm a complete noob when it comes to these cars but any idea of what might be going out on the car?

Typically with any car when the starter starts to drag like that it's in the actual starter motor. Unless there is something uber special about subies that I don't know, which may be the case since I don't even own one yet.

Any weird noises coming from the starter when it takes a while?
Could be a bad ground, or you could have jumped a tooth on the timing, which would make the car still run, but it is basically only noticeable during startup. |
