Default S203 wing bennifits?

is the S203 wing any better then the factory STi wing? it doesnt appear to grab any more clean air over the top of the veh actually looks like it grabs less... but the S203 is the factory tuned STi so the question i have is it any better of a wing?

i put some chicken wings on top of my veh, seemed to yield great bennifits

On a serious note, I have HEARD that the s203/s204/...etc wings are more effective than the sti wing. I can't think of any actual date, but I've seen some threads on here explaining the "bennifits."

And I'm not sure where you live...but the air around me isn't exactly clean. For me, I would be more concerned with catching more contaminated, dirty, poluted air, than the clean stuff.

clean air is the air that promotes the best downforce, typically the air going over the roof line.. dirty air is the air that follows the lines of the veh, i just wanna know if the s203 wing is a better wing despite its relatively smaller size

Waldo, talk with CTKAG over in NESIC. I think this may be the wing he has on his WRX (look at the main page for COM....that's his car). He knew all about the research and wind tunnel testing that went into the design. If it was not an advantage, it would not be on his car. His first name is Keith.

Hellow.........I crack up everytime.......

doesn't answer your question, but I really like how it looks now that you have black rims.

I remember your thread how you didn't like it...and it looked lame with the stockers...but now the car looks great imo

that's all.

That doesn't make any sense at all. Although when aero setups are involved, 'clean' and 'dirty' have nothing to do with the level of foreign particles and contaminents.

I'd rather take a ricer wing that I see civics hold rather than the S203 wing.

I know JDM parts are the craze, but yuck.

Maybe the angle of attack is better. That is the only thing I could think of.

I would guess not. Based on wind tunnel data I've seen on here, the air over the roof barely reaches the top of the current wing, let alone a lower one. If you heightened it, i would not be surprised at all if it were better, but at its current height I would think it is not.
