For those of you who might be interested... I finally went and got the dimensions of my sub box I built a year or two ago. I believe - when we built it - at the time I measured it to be approx. 1 cu. foot per chamber - there's a divider down the middle. It's a sealed box, dual 12s. I would have gotten more pics if it wasn't so darned rainy out right now. So much for fireworks tonight I guess. I'll try to post up some more pics later.

I like the back massager idea.
I get a lot of water in the back in that area so I would love to do something like this but I would need to protect it from the water.

Before I carpetted the back portion that stucks into the bed, I actually slathered up the entire back half with clear silicone calking. I think I went through a tube and a half or maybe 2 tubes - completely sealed and protected from any water/moisture.

Now THAT is perfect!!

Something that was suggested to me for keeping it waterproof was spraying th back of the box with rhino liner.

Well that's a good idea. Hmmmm. I might have to try that with mine. I've been wrapping mine in a large garbage bag.

To use this Sub design, did you have to remove the pass-thru door? I'm guessing yes.

So my questions are:
* How to remove the pass-thru door and
* How to disable the sensor that complains my pass-thru door is open?

I would appreciate any feedback or assistance.

I'am also trying to build a double 10 inch speaker box for my Baja,and it seems that the measurements that where posted where slightly off but not a problem when building custom stuff sometimes you need to modify to fit your own vehicle.So with that I also need to know how to remove the pass through door so the box will fit right and seat can be used.

4 bolts under the plastic panel that runs across the bottom. It just pops up.
As for the sensor there's a latch at the top where it opens. You'll have to remove most of the rear trim start at the floor of both passenger doors, the storage modules, the headrests, unscrew the tie downs, then finally pop off the long piece of trim across the back to access the switch. You should be able to just disconnect it and it will no longer work.

I wish I had thought of that! I never use my pass-thru. Although I my bed cover does leak just a bit hehe
