Default Auto-x'ed my 98 RS for the first time today!

It was so much fun! I recently sold my STU prepped '06 STi that I was getting bored with and ran this basically bone stock in ST and had a great time. Even with the bouncy struts and worn out bushings, I won by at least a second (obviously ST isn't very competitive here). I can't wait until the next auto-x when my car will be almost completely prepped for ST. I was 14th in PAX and 2.2 seconds out of the top spot. I knew I would have fun but I now have a new love for the sport. I don't compete at nationals so I'm not worried about how slow I am compared to those guys, I'll just stay in my own little bubble.
I just thought I would share my enthusiasm.

Yeah, immediate throttle response and that smooth power delivery are nice. Steering with the throttle is even better.

Autocrossing my STI makes me miss autocrossing my '99 RS. It's faster, but the car does all the work for me... mash gas, mash brake, throw steering wheel, mash gas.. wait.. unwind steering wheel.. adjust steering to catch mild oversteer as boost kicks in and diffs take over, mash brake, repeat. There was still some actual driving to be done in the RS.

I had great results with a 25mm fsb, 22mm rsb and the rear shocks set stiff. I can't push the large front swaybar enough.
