Default Welcome to Phoenix, yeah right?

So, I moved to Phoenix a couple weeks ago from Jacksonville, FL, cool. I have a pretty nice STi, at least I'd like to think so. Good mods, pretty nice looking. And then 2 days ago some jackass steals the STi badge off my V Limited lip while I'm having dinner at West Gate. I would love to introduce that little piece of ***** to my baseball bat. Honestly WTF is wrong with the ricers in this town? I'm so pissed about this, yes its minor, but it's still complete and total disrespect for someone else's personal property and that deserves a severe ass beating.

But anyways, aside from that little piece of ***** thief, I'm glad to be here. I've seen a couple Subaru's driving around town so far. My car isn't too hard to miss, just look for the pigs on the foglight covers and you've found me.

Welcome. Sorry about the badge... luckily they can be replaced for ~20 bucks I believe.

Random acts of vandalism piss me off. My car has been broken into twice which left the window trim, seals, tint, and window busted. It has also has the passenger side door kicked in (dusty boot print left) for no reason. It has been egged at least twice and I once found trash in my hood scoop. Thinks do seem to suck out here a bit more. Somehow, my car spent 2 years in Flint Michigan (3rd most dangerous city in the US) completely un scathed, but AZ has been hell on her.

Come out to a SanTan meet some time!

In 8 years living in Phoenix my car was broken into 5 different times. I had three bikes stolen, one by the thief sawing off the steel railing of the stairs of my apartment. An illegal immigrant attempted to carjack me at gunpoint too.

There are a lot of great things about Phoenix, but the crime is just rampant. It was one of the biggest motivating factors for me to move.

I lived in az all my life in a average neighborhood and had none of that happen to me. yeah over time you get idiots that open their doors to wide in parking lots and leave a nice little bump or scratch but thats it. And broke up with the girl and had my read rear windshield bashed in a month later but other then that nothin really ( knock on wood ). But yeah I did just clay and wax my car and went to mill and there was spit and spots every where from people touching it. its black (MBP) so in the sun it looks like a crime scene when the sun reflects on it... I wanna get that alarm system ( which is illegal in the us ) where if people come up to your car. flames shoots straight at them from under the side of your car. Im sure people wont F%$# around then. ( http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/africa/9812...e.thrower.car/ )

actually that was not the one I was thinkin about but that ones cool. the one I saw basically shoots flames out the sides as if you had a dragster motors and your headers came out the side by your doors and basically makes a wall of fire on your sides so no way anyone can try to get in your car. that one comes out the back or something... Goin through google I found a couple more cool car alarms here http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/t...r-gadgets-ever

Third item down is a cheap replica sticker. It's identical to the OEM one. And come to the Westside meet next week.

Welcome to Phoenix!

Thanks for the welcome guys. Where do the meets take place? I've seen the meet threads but I didn't feel like sorting through 100+ pages to find the location, yes I'm a lazy mofo.

Thanks r0bman, I'll order the badge this week. The car looks a little naked without it for some reason.

I've heard complaints aboiut the replica stickers/badges fading all to hell after a short while, but no first hand experience.

Westside meet if you are west valley and SanTan on the east valley.

Not the one I linked to, as far as I know.

Then again, everyone I know that has one lives in either VA or MD. I'm sure just about anything fades out here given enough time

death to pink badges; wish they made them in other colors, but still sucks it got jacked.

I can't stand AZ, the crime is completely out-of-control, illegal immigrants vs american's feels like 3-1, heat, and general boring death like desert feel (might have something to do that it is a desert, I know!).

Coming from living literally in the woods, in the mountains, where it had real weather... talk about a downgrade!

Welcome to the dirty toilet under the sun, enjoy your stay!

P.S.

Clayton, I have dibs on the gauge cluster and headlight assy's!
