Default need someone to recommend me a local place that can replace some oem parts on my car

went to the dealer today, the total of what theyre charging is 1,200 and im not paying that much for the parts theyre saying need to be replaced.

i need a new knock sensor, new left side axle, cam seals, crank seals and a bunch of other leaking areas underneath. and then a couple belts. i would want the install to be done by them as well. HALP!

yea, stay away from dealerships. i have about 4k worth of work needed according to power...all boots, bushings and oil leaks...boots and bushings i understand, oil leaks suck since i just replaced all top end gaskets only 3 years ago..and they started failing just over a year later. gotta love that 1 year parts warranty, just long enough to cost you more $$

Fat is taking care of me right now. Definitely some quality techs over there and the owner Robert is a cool guy.

+1 for Goodspeed, especially if you live in the area. Fat's a bit of a drive.

Take your car to goodspeed.

yeah oil leaks are $$ parts cost like 10 bucks its the labor thats $$.... i think the cheapest dealership labor rate is $107/hour. I know at MCS they have a floating scale. meaning if its heavy work they can charge up to 150/hour and if its light work they can charge as little as 105/hour. Its really up to the advisor. I always thought this was lame because labor is labor. especially if its heavy work (means more hours).
