Default intake install

I was just curious if anyone had instructions to install a JC Sports intake on a 98 Impreza. I found directions for a 00-01 but I know its a lot different from a 98 so if anyone has done this already and might be able to guide me through the process that would be great. Thanks everyone

I don't see why it would be any different.

The basic premise is still the same. Take off the factory airbox, the 3 hoses, connect the hoses to the intake pipe, connect intake to the throttle body, tighten and there ya go.

I believe all you will need to do is buy a MAF adapter from www.imprezars.com ($35) that will attach to the filter and then to the MAF. Then you will need to have a small section of tube with a vacuum nipple I believe and then you can use the rest of the JC sports intake. I have been looking into this a little bit but I think I am right. crossign fingers

Any update on this? I just got my 00-01 tubing today, and fit it up. I'll need to tweak it here and there.

Also, FYI, the 98 has 4 hoses (3 breather hoses, and 1 Idle hose that's just after the MAF). From what I've gathered so far, just use a "T" connector on 2 of the 3 breather hoses to connect it to the intake.
