Default Anyone from Pinckney/Ann Arbor willing to HELP? Please

Hello, I'm desperately looking for someone familiar with tactrix tuning and connecting with the ECU. I've tried checking connection to OBD2 w/a voltmeter and it looks fine but I cannot communicate or even read the ECU on my 02 wagon. Bought a spare ECU to rule things out and it does the same thing, yet the car runs fine on the OEM ECU with whatever map is on there (that I cant see to confirm : (

I'm willing to reciprocate my gratitude with beer, spare Subi parts, or monetary means.

Thanks,
Mike

Anyone??? Please, I've been calling around with no luck. Isn't nobody willing to help a fellow subier out, or are you all against beer and money?

Im running out of options, I wouldn't even consider going to the dealership for them to charge me $120 to say they don't know what AVCS or axctrix are.

Did you use the reflash connector, and do you have your XML files all sorted? I have a 2016 wrx, but I tuned my bugeye on Carberry myself.

No, my car doesn't appear to have these reflash wires, although I do have the block if I ever find where to plug it in. Despite how noobish that sounds, I've been researching the crap out of this and have a good idea what I'd be looking for.

Regardless though, I'm not even attempting to write/erase my ECU right now. I want to confirm I can communicate with it and back up the current map. Nowhere have I read this reflash connector is necessary for a simple read.

Now I guess my only option is to reactivate stupid facebook to find a local Subaru group... Which means I'll probabaly let my car wither and die before I ever install such an application

Thanks for the shout out, lmk if you know of anyone local willingt to help in person. You sound like my best bet haha

Dude I am positive you need the reflash connectors. They are all between the kick panel of the dash and the clutch. Or the green ones may be on the passenger side. But those connections put the ecu into test mode, and allow for reading and writing the ecu. I would be willing to help, St. Clair Shores isn't TOO far away.

I appreciate the clarification, but I have tried this in test mode with no such luck. Either way, no sense in getting caught up on something I've already tried. I wonder if there is an extra set of test mode wires or if I'm missing the wires the jump block connects to, even though I understand this is ONLY necessary when writing to ECU.

I just moved to Ypsilanti, which has to be slightly closer to St. Clair. Anyway, my other subaru is dying and this has been my daily driver but needs to be tuned ASAP. Without being able to Tactrix the map I've got, I'm quite a sad panda . I'd gladly meet you this weekend or sometime soon to see if we can come to a conclusion.
You game?
