Question Where to camp?

Hello folks, I am looking for recommendations on some semi-remote camping areas/sites. I have been poking around and doing some research on areas up around Williams, maybe as far north as Jacobs Lake, and am open to suggestions as long as its above the pine line. Im getting lots of KOA and pay for spaces sites, but thats not what I am interested in.

Basically, I need to be able to get to the location in my WRX, would prefer to not see anyone else, and would like to be able to shoot my rifle and do some trap and skeet shooting pretty much right outside my tent flap. Having a firepit would be much preferred (I havent checked restrictions around the rim yet). Thats about it, just looking to do some relaxing in the wilderness for a few days.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

You might try asking here: http://www.offroadpassport.com/forum/
It's a very new az-specific forum, so not much content, but they might have some suggestions if you inquire.
