Default Turbo and intake opinions for 2.5 rs

I was just wondering what direction I should go in adding a turbo and intake for my 2000 2.5rs? Who makes a good turbo and intake? I have heard that Weapon R intake is terrible but that was the only intake that I have been told about so far....
Thank you for your help in this matter

you cannot have an "intake" with a turbocharged 2.5 RS. If you swap in a MY02 WRX motor, you can add an intake with the turbo, but not with any aftermarket kits. 99% of the kits come with an intake pipe, so you don't need to worry about an "intake".

Uhh someone had a nice injen setup with a ludespeed kit. It was posted here like a couple weeks ago. Its just some intake pipes that come with turbo kits dont look as nice. My suggestion is just find an intake from another car and just hack off the end to it so it fits. But Tom made a nice intake for someone i forgot who.

Actually it's the fitment that you have to think about. A turbo kit still requires an intake, unless you want to put a sock on the turbo for filtration purpose. Anyway, if you can make the aftermarket intake to fit, by all means go for it. It's more for look than go though, as most of the powers are going to be from the FI setup (esepcially the one w/IC), not so much for the intake. The CAI will have slightly better low end power, but again high end is reduced (same theory as N/A setup but much less degrees).

Conclusion is that aftermarket intake will work, but usually requires some DIY mods to perfect fit it.

Good luck
