The FM901 is an old tire now. There are newer, better options out there at this point.

What is your budget?

I ran them for a while. Was not all that impressed at all at first. Three days before a track day I noticed the tread separating from the tire on 3 of the 4 tires. Got those replaced due to defect and made it to Road America for a track day.

Cold grip on these tires suck and they are loud as hell. They were not a good autocross tire because they require a lot of heat to actually feel good. I despised these tires until I ran them at RA actually and then I'll say they were just decent. I ran them in standing start time trials events at other tracks and they had not enough grip when pushed hard

thannk you very much for your input. I knew there had to be a reason why they were discontinued, had to be a reason why they are stockpiled at tire companies and no one will buy them.

they were a very poor tire when new

i too remember when the came out- they used a tread pattern that looked like 7's. This was before the RE01 came to america and actually worked with that tread design.

that tire started with horrible reviews on tirerack and never let up.

Check out Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec. May be out of your price range but very very good tire. Good street manners and very grippy.
