Default THSCC RallyX season - join us for some dirty fun

Well, in no time it'll be time for our first race. We're trying to spread the word for people to come join us.

This is what you guys have seen on tv. but at a smaller scale. its fun, its fast and it gets dirty. come out and try rallying. no ken block here, but with some practice you can be on your way to WRC with your own team.

find out more here Tarheel Sports Car Club -- RallyCross®
thats the official site where you can register and what not.

ive got my own blog up and running about last seasons races, with some pictures.
9one9 Racing blog feel free to check it out and read about the progress and check out some pictures. you can find tons more pictures from the THSCC website as well. Instead of making new threads each race, Ill just update this one with newer information on the dates/times.

As of now, we want to have 10 races this year. which is big, and we can make it happen with the help of you guys who keep saying you'll show up, but no one does. so cmon out, give it a try, you'll get hooked. its cheap dirty fun

Our first race is in Feb. We're aiming for mid Feb

yeah, except that car is definitely not setup for that anymore!

robert i'm still looking for you a dirt beater...but can't find any old legacies lying around.

once i get a backup car i'll sling the swamp fox around this season. just don't roll dice competitively driving anything if it's my only ride.

Well robert, we are droppin a 2.5 n/a into the obs its will have a decent susp. set-up and rally tires. so when a rallyx comes around and we have room for another co-driver youre more than welcome.

But Im pretty sure a brake downgrade and some rally tires would work just fine on your 2.5rs

Default Thanks Adam!!

Although she was a bad mutha as a Rally-x car, she's too far gone now. Currently working on aero. (front splitter, undertray etc.) Those damn vettes are so good in that respect that if you are going to play with them, you either need massive power, or better aero. (or both)
Thanks for the co-drive offer!! Don't forget I still have RS parts if you need them.
Need some pics of your new ride!! I'll be down to see Robbie for a touch-up tune soon. Maybe we can meet. I'll pm you. R.G.

I wish I had the same level of self control.

I'd love to see something after Feb 10.

This is definitely the year I'd like to get more involved in this. Still waiting for the 2010 sched to get posted so I can make sure I'm free the weekend of the rallyx school. assuming it doesn't get canceled again this year.

pasted of tarheels member forums. sounds like the autox schedule is holding everything up so this is still tentative.

"There are possibly a few open dates that could be renegotiated after the Autocross schedule is completed so if there are conflicts that would prevent you from participating please let us know. We really need everyone's participation this year to insure a 2011 season.

To make this a full season, we have scheduled 9 points events and one non-points event at the end of the year that could become a points event in the event that we have cancellations.
Your comments and assistance are always welcome. If you wish to chair an event please send an email to the Rally-X VPs (email contact on the THSCC Contacts Page).
Calendar:
Feb. 13/14
Mar. 20/21
Apr. 10/11
May 8
Jun. 5/6
Jul. 10/11
Aug. 7/8
Sept. 4/5
Oct. 2/3
Nov. 6/7 - non-points or make up points

There is the possibility of a drivers school on one weekend that we are considering in Mar. or Apr. "

thanks for posting this up jeremy.

yah guys, take a look. see what you think. if you want to get involved in the rallyX program, as well as chairing events, please join the THSCC club.

its $35 for a year. goto www.thscc.com and click "join" on the top right side.

this way, we can listen to your comments and attempt to work with you on making the rallyX program better. we'll still listen to your comments even if youre not a member though

well the first race is officially on Feb. 14th (Vday), but its usually done by the afternoon. so plenty of time to go home and spend $$ on your loved one.

the schedule and the pre-registration will be up shortly. we're trying to make it $5 off if you pre-pay/pre-register for an event.

we need at least 25 people signed up (payed or unpayed) for an event to happen.
SO MAKE IT HAPPEN

[link]http://www.thscc.com/rallycross[/link] for more info (in a few days hopefully)

awesome. we're trying to get pre-reg up ASAP as well.

we're working on a $5 savings if you pre-reg AND pre-pay for an event. so make sure you guys do that.

Thanks,
