Default 02/03 USDM WRX Base map Questions.

Okay guys, I am a super noob to tuning. I know basics about Subaru engines and I am fairly inclined in their mechanical workings. I've done some reading on tuning these cars and all about Knock control and WGDS and all that jazz. I know most of the acronyms but it is still quite confusing. So bare with me if I come off as a "retard" in the tuning definition...

I have been scouring the forums for a while now looking for a good Stage 2 base map to flash and then log to make the correct adjustments. I've looked at testes1010's and have been very interested in the Carberry map that was modified for MAF tuning. I've heard the good and bad in testes1010's map and I don't think I am qualified to even begin with a SD or Carberry map. So I ask to great people of the RR forum. Any suggestions for some maps to flash?

Mods consist of...
USDM 2003 Subaru WRX
Was purchased with a (new to the car) EJ205 - Was told it was a JDM Motor with the JDM ECU, therefor I cannot use a Cobb AP.
Stock TD04-13T
Stock Injectors
Stock Fuel Pump (have a wal255, installing soon)
Stock TMIC
Stock JDM Catless UP
3" Catless Turboback
K&N Panel filter
Running Floridian 93 Octane
Low Altitude and High humidity air where I drive

If any more info is needed let me know.

Thank you all for your help!

Cheers! -Ben

Go check out http://www.romraider.com/forum/index.php .

I have had a little experience tuning Nissans before the WRX. I did all my reading there for a couple weeks, Then bought a tactrix and flashed a tune. Download all the stuff and a stock base map and start looking at the maps. ROMRAIDER also has descriptions of each map in the options for each map. I don't remember exactly where.

I have an 03 and i used the Testes1010 base map and have been tweaking/logging it for the past 2 weeks. here is where you can find that. Http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewt...hp?f=28&t=4075

Good luck!

P.S. Read all of this too...http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1410201
