Default 2015 STi Fitment questions w/ spacers

Hi Guys,

Just want to confirm a couple things before I go down this route. I'm looking at getting wheel spacers all around 20mm hubcentric.

Rims are 18x9.5 rota grids +38 with stock dunlop tires 245/40/18, I plan on getting coils this summer and lowering about 2". This would effectively make my wheel set up 18x9.5 +18 correct?

I assume this same set up has been done before but hard to find an exact thread with this exact spec

1. Is a fender roll recommended? I assume I will need this minimum once I lower
2. Do I still need hubcentric rings that go on the rim once I get these spacers?
3. Will I have any clearance or fitment issues once lowered with this rim set up and spacers?

Correct.

18x9.5 +38 is already pushing the boundaries of wheel fitment before fender modification.

Shoving your wheels out another 20mm will definitely require fender work and a lot of negative camber. If that's what you want, then go for it.

But I would suggest doing more research before you do anything.

Thanks for the feedback. I already ran these rims stock suspension last summer, the rims require minimum 6mm spacer up front to clear the brakes. I may just leave the set up as is, get a slight roll.

Then after that coilovers and a lower I should have clearance with stock tire size.

Spacers may be out of the question. My current offset up front would then be 18x9.5 +32

On this set up can you go really low (no fender gap) with a fender roll?

Will this set up (only 6mm spacer up front) have any clearance issues when lowered?
