Default 05 STI RPM shift sound...light works but no sound!

so recently the sound was working fine along with the light. i left it around 3000 rpm. well last week i started to notice it went out. I did a google search and found nothing concrete. all i found was adding shift light to wax and stuff like that. i want to fix it asap.
any help would be greatly appreciate it.

Honestly, I am not surprised, its a 13 year old car and its bound to have some issues. Perhaps try to reset it again. That sound must have went off all the time at 3000rpm, it could have just worn out.

The buzzer is built into that cluster, so I'd also start with playing with settings, follow up with a battery reset, then cry knowing I'll need to buy a new cluster. Or dismantle in hopes I can solder on a new buzzer...

I don't have a picture. But it's a micro piezo siren (diagram type speaker size of a pencil eraser.) inside your cluster.

I have replaced the buzzer on a prodrive v7-v8 cluster. It was not very hard, but the usdm STI clusters are harder to work on as they are all surface mount components.

PR_STI_EOD where are you located?
If you where some where near me I could help you out.
