Default Power FC enough to run with a turbo RS?

I can't seem to decide on what to get to do the fuel management for my turbo'd 2.5RS. Would a Power FC alone be enough to safely run the car or would I still need something to control the ignition and timing? Basically can't decide on what ECU system to use. I'd rather not use the S-AFC and a whole group of other components when there are enough other choices out there to do the same thing. All I basically want is something to safely run the car at 7lbs of boost daily driving that I don't have to search to find a shop to install and tune.

The power FC allows you to program ignition timing, fuel maps, etc. I think there are a good 7-8 maps you can play with, although I've only used it to calibrate my ignition timing and injector maps.

The only problem is that the Power FC's are only made for Japanese spec WRX's and STi's, and they are designed to be direct swaps with the stock pin-outs, and to use all stock sensors. An RS-T would defeat the purpose of a Power FC, which is to provide a simple drop in replacement that allows complete programability, because you would have to isolate each wire going into your RS ecu, and figure out where to reroute it in the FC...even then, who knows if it would work??? I'm certainly no expert when it comes to wiring, and the intricacies of jdm EJ20's versus usdm EJ25's.

Here's a good Power FC article, where Autospeed tested it out for a year on one of their cars, and reported the results: http://www.autospeed.com/A_0301/page...rc=suggestions
