I will give you the progressive part, but the 6 Waste gates that I have played with were not quite as progressive as you say.

My 15 psi IWG would start to open at about 13 psi (depending on pre-load).

My 1.0 bar (q14.7 psi) Tial EWG starts to open pretty close to 12 or 13 as well.

This is verified by a hand-held boost pump, and logging.

If there was 0 pre-load on the spring, then yes I agree, but that is not the case.

Old school thread redux- great for putting a visual on the gains for the 10cm housing... looks like it would be very happy with an 8000rpm redline.
