Default Check engine light

Hey all,

I don't know if this is the right forum. I was at the track today for a lapping day. During one lap, I spun out - I don't really remember what happened, I think I lost traction and over corrected which caused the car to spin. It was my first time spinning out, so it sort of caught me off guard. I didn't really know what to do, and I think in the heat of the moment I took my foot off the clutch and when we came to a stop, the car stalled. I tried to start it up again, but the engine wouldn't turn. I cranked it about 15 times, and nothing happened. Let it sit for a few seconds, then tried cranking it again, no go. Let it sit a bit more, cranked it again and it started up. I had a check engine light (cruise control flashing as well), so I finished the lap and got off the track. I turned the car off / on a few times until the CEL cleared. Drove home (2 hour drive) without any problems, everything seemed to be fine, but I'm wondering what the CEL may have been. I don't have a code reader - thinking of getting one but I wanted to post to see if anyone might be able to throw in some input. We figure maybe the spin-out confused the ABS and that caused a CEL - don't know if that's possible or not though. Any thoughts as to what happened? Wondering if anyone else has ever had a CEL come on after spinning out? lol

Default Flashing Cruise light

I had the same problem. I hooked up my OBD II and the code that came up said "speed sensor low input" but it only comes on every once in a while. But that's what the flashing cruise light meant.

CELs often get memorized so you can retrieve them after the light goes out. Borrow a code reader. Ask in your local forum if anyone has a Tactrix cable and Learning View software, or go to an auto parts place.
