Question Install Help (pioneers AVHP-4100-dvd

So my stocker kicked it... found a good deal on the pioneer.

Question 1. Do I need a specific harness for my 03 WRX? (didn't order from Crutchfield, as I understand it they ship car specific) if its recommended... anyone have a link to one?

Question 2. After a bit of searching I was unable to produce a tutorial for removing the trim piece around my stocker. anyone recall a link to one (preferably with pics) seen a few for 06-07 but they are obviously different.

Thanks in advance folks.

should be pretty easy...there should be 2 screws where the dash and center counsel meet... you will have to remove the trim around the shifter to expose them (use a plastic pannel removal tool so not to mar the surface up...once those are removed the surround should pop off using that same pannel removal tool...make sure to unplug everything and then there will be 4-6 screws holding the radio in...remove those and you are golden

I don't see the need to remove my shift surround considering that my center console and the trim piece around my stereo aren't connected... like a later model. And what about the harness question?

my bad... the harness he listed is correct. take a pannel tool and gently start prying on the pannel...you will be able to tell where the screws are (should be toward the bottom)
