I don't get it... Do you mean that the rubber molding is splitting around the top edge of the window?

Shouldn't cost anything, should be a warranty repair...

I'd wait until it gets worse, and until it's actually a problem because of wind noise or water leakage, then get SOA to fix it... this should fall under the 3-36 bumper-bumper stuff...

Mine split about 3 inches right after I got my 01 RS. Subaru Replaced it under warranty. The window was also rolling up too far causing it to split, so they adjusted that too. I would just call a dealer and ask them about it. When I called on this same problem (and about my tranny being low on fluid 2mo's after I picked up the car) they told me to bring it in because the warranty will cover it.

It is a warranty issue. Its from the window being adjusted too high on the tracks, and causes the rubber to strech and eventually tear.

dealer should take care of you no problem.

good luck

I didn't look at the pics, but from what you described it sounds like you are refering to the ~3"x3" plastic panel on the inside of the side mirrors. If this is the case, I broke mine while removing the door panel and IIRC it was a $7-15 part from the dealer.
